The Head Of The Betting

Willett has struggled to hit the heights since his famous US Masters win earlier this year and the 14/1 shot will hope a return to Switzerland can be just what is required as he has never missed a cut in seven appearances at Crans-sur-Sierre.

Tyrrell Hatton is our preferred pick at 18/1 though as the Englishman has finished tied 3rd in each of his last two appearances at the European Masters and a win would be a fitting bonus during what has been a superb year for him. Hatton has finished in the top-20 in nine of his twelve starts during 2016, including a runner-up spot at the Scottish Open, as well as top-seven efforts at the Irish Open, BMW PGA Championship and the Open Championship.
Tip #1: Tyrrell Hatton (each way) @ 18/1 with Coral.

Other leading contenders include Alex Noren, who won this tournament in 2009, and he is available at 18/1, while last year's runner-up Matthew Fitzpatrick (20/1) will bid to bounce back from his missed cut in Denmark.

The Best Of The Rest

David Lipsky had no such trouble in Denmark as he tied for 3rd, which followed hot on the heels of his tie for 6th at the Czech Masters. Lipsky is clearly in decent touch and he has a close affinity with Crans-sur-Sierre, where he won the 2014 title before finishing a respectable 16th during his title defence last year.
Tip #2: David Lipsky (each way) @ 33/1 with Betfred.

Thongchai Jaidee is another who should go well on a 6,848 yard course that places a premium on driving accuracy and finding greens in regulation. The Thai star has never missed a cut in seven visits to this venue, securing a couple of top-tens, and the recent Open de France winner is more than capable of mastering a track that appears to be perfectly suited to his game.
Tip #3: Thongchai Jaidee (each way) @ 35/1 with Bet 365.

Finally, Richie Ramsay won the European Masters in 2012 and he has now finished in the top-ten in three of his last four visits to Crans-sur-Sierre. Ramsay, who tied 6th at the Scottish Open earlier this season, heads to Switzerland off the back of a tie for 26th in Denmark and that was very much a step in the right direction for a man who should be relishing a return to this course.
Tip #4: Richie Ramsay (each way) @ 40/1 with Betfred.
